Imani Lauren is a West Philadelphia native.  Growing up within a household with her 4 brothers, music is in her blood.  She began playing Djembe (African Drums), where she obtained the name “Clean Hands” at Harambee Institute of Science and Technology.  Her love affair, with music didn’t truly develop until several years later.  In 2014 is where Imani discovered/ found her musicality.  Without lessons or education, Imani began her relationship with the keys.  This gift was obtained merely by ear.  In 2016, another interest took residence in Imani’s heart; tenor sax.  This earned her the name, “Sax Bae”.  This beautiful, challenging instrument became a part of her resume and her self-teaching ability expanded.

Somewhere within this journey, Imani found her voice as a vocalist. There is no stone unturned when it comes to genres of music; that Imani doesn’t find interest in.  She is a mixture of hip-hop, RnB, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Pop, Latin, Reggae and the list goes on.  If a relationship can exist between any genre, she’ll find a way to create and cultivate.  Imani is currently working on building her brand.  Developing extensions of her creative works so that the world can see, hear and experience life through music because after all...

MUSIC IS LIFE
